After penning Disney's POOH'S HEFFALUMP MOVIE and a direct-to-DVD Halloween sequel, Evan Spiliotopoulos has been tapped to pen Universal's sequel WANTED 2, per THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER.
The story is by Chris Morgan. The sequel is based, like the original, on the comic series from Mark Millar and J.G. Jones. Marc E. Platt and Jim Lemley will produce with Timur Bekmambetov, who is attached to direct his sequel.
Jeff Kirschenbaum will oversee for Universal. Morgan co-wrote the first film with Michael Brandt and Derek Haas.

Australian newspaper the MT DRUITT STANDARD reports that Warner Bros.' GREEN LANTERN will be shot at Sydney's Fox Studios starting later in 2009 (Via COMINGSOON.net).
Sydney was also the home of the production of X-MEN ORIGINS and upcoming animated features HAPPY FEET 2 and GUARDIANS OF GA'HOOLE.
New South Wales Premier Nathan Rees estimated that the GREEN LANTERN shoot would employ 500 people at a given time, including 100 performers, 200 crew and thousands of extras.

Tatopoulos Tapped for I, Frankenstein Feature
Creature-designer-turned-director Patrick Tatopoulos (UNDERWORLD: RISE OF THE LYCANS) is set to direct comic book adaptation I, FRANKENSTEIN, according to multiple news outlets.
The comic's writer Kevin Grevioux will write and produce the adaptation, according to THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER. Death Ray Films hopes to make a franchise out of the yet-unpublished comic from Darkstorm, which includes several classic movie monsters: Frankenstein's Monster, the Invisible Man, Dracula and the Hunchback of Notre Dame.
Catherine Keener is a Modern-Day Goddess Mom
Catherine Keener will play with the Greek gods in Fox 2000's PERCY JACKSON, per THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER.
The story is about Poseidon's half-human son, Percy, who embarks on a quest in present-day U.S. to prevent a war among the gods. Keener will play Percy's mother.
Christopher Columbus, who is also directing, and Craig Titley wrote the adaptation from Rick Riordan's fantasy adventure book series.
PERCY JACKSON will also star Pierce Brosnan, Uma Thurman, Sean Bean, Kevin McKidd, Melina Kanakaredes and Logan Lerman as Percy.
