Arnold Coming Ba-ack as the Terminator?
In a webcast with the public on Tuesday, California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger said he would reprise his classic TERMINATOR role in the upcoming fourth movie, reports CNN, but only if he doesn't have to do anything.
ILM is reportedly working to insert the actor-turned-politician's image into TERMINATOR SALVATION. "I made it very clear that I don't have the time to do the movie," he said. "I said that I would be willing to be in the movie if they get the technology together, and so they are working on that right now."
Sin City Sequel Rights Could be in Limbo
Dimension Films, as has been rumored for a few weeks, may have lost the sequel rights to SIN CITY, according to THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER.
The Weinstein Co. and Dimension claim they still hold the rights for any sequel to the 2005 film, but the rights are being shopped around Hollywood. Producers say they have been pitched the rights by representatives for Frank Miller's estate, who say they are trying to find a new place to house a follow-up.

Sucker Punch! Swaps Two More
Actresses Jamie Chung and Jena Malone will star in Zack Snyder's all-female action fantasy SUCKER PUNCH!, according to THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, replacing announced cast members Emma Stone and Evan Rachel Wood, respectively.
Stone, Wood and Amanda Seyfried had all been in negotiations, but have dropped out for scheduling conflicts.
Fox Aims High for Spring 2010
20th Century Fox will debut three major titles next year in off-peak times: January, February and April, reports VARIETY.
The studio will push back the release of THE TOOTH FAIRY (starring Dwayne Johnson and Ashley Judd) from November 13 to January 22. Comedy DATE NIGHT with Steve Carell, Tina Fey, Mark Wahlberg and James Franco is set for April 9.
Fox recently announced fantasy adventure PERCY JACKSON will debut February 12.
Christmas Comes To Cannes May 18
Christmas will come to the Croisette, when Jim Carrey, Colin Firth, director Robert Zemeckis, and producers Steve Starkey and Jack Rapke from DISNEY'S A CHRISTMAS CAROL kick off the holiday season early at the Cannes Film Festival on Monday, May 18. They will unveil the first look ever in 3-D of the classic Dickens tale as re-envisioned by director Robert Zemeckis.

The author announced the next book, THE LOST SYMBOL, will hit bookshelves on September 15, 2009 in the U.S. in Canada. The book is reportedly complete, and will roll out with an estimated five million copies in its first printing.

Sci Fi, Will Smith Have Unfinished Business
Sci Fi Channel has ordered crime pilot UNFINISHED BUSINESS, according to THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER.
Overbrook Entertainment will produce with Will Smith, James Lassiter and Ken Stovitz exec producing. The drama will be about an ex-cop who starts seeing visions of memories from the recently-dead, compelling him to help wronged souls resolve unfinished business.
Sally Robinson is set to write the pilot with Mikael Salomon to direct. Robinson was nominated for an Emmy for IRON JAWED ANGELS and Salomon won an Emmy for BAND OF BROTHERS.
Fox's Genre Label Atomic Set to Close
Twentieth Century Fox will close down their genre and comedy label Fox Atomic, according to the trades.
THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER reports the division's marketing arm had been swallowed back into Fox back in January 2008, and has had few hits among their slate. Two coming up are I LOVE YOU, BETH COOPER and comedy horror flick JENNIFER'S BODY.
Atomic's head, Debbie Liebling, will go back to Fox as an exec, developing comedies and genre films. Other execs' fates has not been decided yet.
Apprentice has a Celebrity Illusionist
Tony Kebbell has joined the cast of THE SORCERER'S APPRENTICE from Disney, reports VARIETY, and will play a celebrity illusionist who teams up with Alfred Molina's evil sorcerer to gain power.
Nicolas Cage stars as the sorcerer with Jay Baruchel as the apprentice and Teresa Palmer as the love interest.
Paramount Has Lions, Tigers and Bears
Lorenzo di Bonaventura will produce LIONS, TIGERS AND BEARS for Paramount, reports VARIETY, based on the comic by Mike Bullock.
The film, which is about an adult reminiscing about his childhood when a group of stuffed animals come alive, would be live action with heavy CG effects.
Oric Scott De Las Casas will co-produce. Di Bonaventura's shingle is at Paramount, and has three other films completed with them: TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN, G.I. JOE: THE RISE OF THE COBRA and IMAGINE THAT starring Eddie Murphy.
Pushing Daisies Reborn as a Comicbook
E! Online reports that cancelled ABC drama PUSHING DAISIES will live on as a comic.
Show creator Bryan Fuller told them exclusively, "We got a 12-issue order for a comic book for DC Comics. I think the comic book is great, because it has all the characters in it, and it starts a new story. It's basically Chuck, Ned, Emerson and Olive versus 1,000 corpses, so it becomes a zombie movie, but the zombies are articulate and smart and can do things that no other zombies can do. The Pie-Maker versus 1,000 corpses."
Autodesk Launches Flare, Smoke, Flint and More at NAB 2009
Autodesk announced the 2010 releases of Smoke and Flint software for editorial finishing and vfx, while also unveiling the 2009 Extension 1 releases of Lustre and Incinerator color grading software. In addition, the company launched Autodesk Flare software, a creative companion to the 2010 releases of Flame and Inferno vfx systems. The new releases are being showcased in the Autodesk booth SL2120 at NAB 2009 in Las Vegas, which runs through Thursday.
