As part of AWN’s Professional Spotlight series -- a series of exclusive video interviews shot during the VIEW Conference in 2016 -- here is an in-depth discussion with Rob Legato, visual effects supervisor and 2nd unit director on Disney’s 'The Jungle Book.' In the interview, Legato talks about the tremendous challenges his crew faced on the award-winning live-action/CG film. He shares his concerns regarding virtual cinematography tools and techniques as well as early animal animation tests. He also discusses managing difficult and sophisticated production within an extremely tight schedule that left very little margin for error.
