Warner Bros. will develop a MARVIN THE MARTIAN feature at Alcon Ent., per VARIETY.

Alcon principals Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove will produce with Steve Crystal in a live action and CG animation blend.

Marvin, created by Chuck Jones, made his first appearance in a Looney Tunes cartoon in 1948. Marvin was often intent on blowing up Earth, foiled by Bugs Bunny.

Judson Leaving Warner Bros. Animation

Lisa Judson is leaving her position as head of Warner Bros. Animation after just 10 months on the job, according to VARIETY. Her duties will be consolidated under Warner Bros. Television president Peter Roth.

The studio confirmed the change, saying Judson intended to return to New York, from which she relocated to take the job. The job was a significant leap for Judson, who previously served as SVP of marketing at AOL. She also worked at Nickelodeon.

X-Files Vet John Shiban Added Raimi Production

Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert have hired John Shiban (THE X-FILES, STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE) to executive produce WIZARD'S FIRST RULE, per VARIETY.

Shiban is currently with the CW's SUPERNATURAL and will help turn Terry Goodkind's book series into a weekly TV series.

WIZARD takes place in a fantasy world of magic and wizards, and centers on a man called the Seeker, who is destined to save the world.

Shiban told VARIETY he will draw on his experience with THE X-FILES for the show's structure and sensibility.

Idiots And Angels Premieres At Tribeca

Bill Plympton's new feature animated film IDIOTS AND ANGELS will be premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City, which takes place April 23-May 4 in Manhattan.

It will be presented in the "Encounters" section, as one of only 122 feature films selected from 2,300 submissions.

IDIOTS AND ANGELS is a "cartoon noir" about a morally bankrupt man struggling to hide the good side of himself, which manifests itself in a pair of angel wings that make him do good deeds.

Six Flags, Nintendo Renew Wii Experience

Six Flags announced this week plans to renew its partnership with Nintendo for the 2008 season.

As part of the agreement, Six Flags will feature and operate the Wii Experience in 10 of its theme parks across the country. Each Wii Experience will house 10 consoles and be operational April 5 - November 2.
