Wadlow, Summit Move from Tomb to Arena

Jeff Wadlow will direct ARENA for Summit Ent., a sci-fi actioner that he began developing with the studio a few months ago, per THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER.

Wadlow had been working on the prison escape project THE TOMB for Summit but the project stalled and the studio exercised an option in his contract to move him to ARENA.

Chris Bender and J.C. Spink of BenderSpink and Jim Thompson of Original Content are producing along with Alex Franklin and Jonah Loop of Pangea Pictures. Summit's Erik Feig and Geoff Shaevitz are overseeing.

DiCaprio to Adapt Twilight Zone for WB

Warner Bros. and Leonardo DiCaprio's production house Appian Way have hired Rand Ravich to write a script based on the TWILIGHT ZONE TV series, per VARIETY.

The project was first set up a year ago to transform the iconic sci-fi, fantasy and horror series into a feature film.

Ravich directed THE ASTRONAUT'S WIFE and was an exec producer on CONFESSIONS OF A DANGEROUS MIND. He is the creator on NBC's detective series LIFE.
