Ubisoft announced its lineup of titles for the 2006 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) May 10-12, 2006, at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Ubisoft will showcase its titles at booth #924 in the South Hall.
The Banff World Television Festival announced the nominees for its PLAYBACK-sponsored Best Canadian Award. As finalists, the 18 Canadian nominees not only stand to win in their own genre categories, but are also vying for the Best Canadian Program title. Nominees will be screened by an independent jury of Canadian television professionals with the winner announced at the 2006 Banff World Television Festival.

Disney-Pixar's new 3D-animated feature, CARS, will stage its World Premiere on May 26 at Lowe's Motor Speedway in Charlotte, North Carolina. Paul Newman, Owen Wilson, Bonnie Hunt, Larry the Cable Guy, NASCAR legends Richard Petty and Darrell Waltrip and others from the film's voice cast will be joined by a host of stars from the racing world and 30,000 guests that are expected to attend the CARS World Premiere, taking place at the same location as that weekend's famous Coca Cola 600 NASCAR race.
THQ Inc. announced that SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS: THE YELLOW AVENGER has shipped for PSP. Based on the characters of Nickelodeon's chart-topping animated television show, the game explores a new dimension of SpongeBob as a superhero and is now available at retail outlets nationwide.
Bardel Ent. heads to the upcoming Kidscreen Summit (Feb. 8-10, 2006, in New York City) with an animation series in development with TV Ontario featuring the colorful characters of ANTONS WORLD; a new sitcom for kids based on Bardels award-winning Christmas special, THE CHRISTMAS ORANGE.

PBS KIDS will launch a new preschool series, ITS A BIG BIG WORLD, featuring learning age-appropriate science and geography concepts from award-winning television veteran Mitchell Kriegman (BEAR IN THE BIG BLUE HOUSE, CLARISSA EXPLAINS IT ALL) on Jan. 2, 2006 (check local listings). New York-based Lavinias World has announced that THE OOSHES has been chosen as one of five finalists in the 2005 MIPCOM Jr. Licensing Challenge. The finalists will be pitching their projects live to a jury that will select one as the winner. The final round of this competition, organized by MIPCOM Jr. and LICENSE! MAGAZINE will take place on Oct. 16, in Cannes, France.
VIZ Media Llc. has announced a partnership with the World Bank to present 1 WORLD MANGA, an original new series that will use the universal appeal of the graphic novel to address key global issues, such as poverty, HIV/AIDS and the environment. As part of its depositary library program, the World Bank will donate copies of the manga to 300 libraries around the world. VIZ Medias proceeds from the sales of 1 WORLD MANGA will go to several noteworthy charities.
BRB Internacional has launched its newest 3D toon-shaded animation project KHUDAYANA. The series was created in BRBs own Barcelona studios and will be presented for the first time at Cartoon Forum, which takes place on the Sept. 21-24, 2005, in Denmark. The series has already aroused the interest of major television networks around the world, with Jetix Spain supporting its launch.

Vivendi Universal Games (VU Games) leads its multi-platform product lineup for E3 with Blizzard Entertainment's STARCRAFT: GHOST, a tactical-action console game set in Blizzard's epic STARCRAFT universe. VUs booth (1200) is located in the South Hall of the Los Angeles Convention Center.
VIZ Media has announced today that MEGAMAN NT WARRIOR is taking the battle against cyber crime to kids across Europe with an on-pack and in-pack promotional campaign with Frito Lay.
The promotional effort, launching in Benelux, will eventually encompass a number of European territories, and will run through spring 2006. MEGAMAN fans will find entertaining premiums in their Frito Lay snacks.
