A52 Creates All-Season VFX for Toyota Tundra Spot
A52 detailed its visual effects work for a new broadcast spot from Partizan director Olivier "Twist" Gondry, ad agency Saatchi & Saatchi Los Angeles and Toyota Motor Sales, USA Inc. The:30 spot titled THROW IT IN THE TUNDRA debuted recently in the heartland of the U.S., and will air in other regions in the weeks ahead.

Cinesite Expands 3D Roster With Award-Winning Artists
Cinesite (Europe), which recently completed work on Warner Bros. V FOR VENDETTA (opening March 17), has hired Quentin Miles as animation director. Ben Shepherd recently joined the team as visual effects supervisor and is currently working on X-MEN 3 for Twentieth Century Fox.

Director Justin Klarenbeck has signed with TWC for exclusive representation in commercials as the company continues to add highly accomplished, multi-talented filmmakers to its staff. Cartoonist, Brady Campaign Release Gun Violence Animation
The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence has added an animated featurette to its "Shoot First Law" website. The animation offers award-winning artist Mark Fiores take on the Florida law, which took effect Oct. 1 and allows people to use deadly force in public. UK Showcase Highlights VFX
Although the rainy weather put a damper on Wednesdays turnout for the second UK Showcase at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel, the visual effects seminar was worth attending for its updated information. VES founder Tom Atkin moderated a panel that consisted of VFX producers Stephanie Austin (SAHARA) and Angie Wills of Cinesite; Rebekah Rudd, exec vp, Spyglass Ent. (THE HITCHHIKERS GUIDE TO THE GALAXY); William Sargent, chairman of Framestore CFC; and Lucy Ainsworth-Taylor, business development exec with Moving Picture Co. (MPC).
Dave Kiddie Joins Rushes VFX Team
Rushes Postproduction Ltd. has signed visual effects artist Dave Kiddie.
He has built up an impressive list of credits over the last seven years, gaining extensive experience on high-end commercials for the likes of Coca-Cola and Barclays, as well as working on music videos for some of the worlds biggest artists, including Kylies Cant Get You Out Of My Head and The Streets Blinded by the Lights. He has also worked on slick and stylized feature films such as MEAN MACHINE and broadcast work for the BBC.

KromA Hires Producer Jen Lahotski
