Exclusive Content During Premiere Episode of The Clone Wars

Cartoon Network will feature exclusive content during commercial breaks from the premiere of STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS, the first weekly television series from Lucasfilm Animation. Walden Media and EA will both utilize the high profile night of programming to promote their upcoming properties through two custom promotions.

STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS premieres on Cartoon Network Friday, October 3 at 9 p.m. (ET, PT) with a limited commercial, one-hour presentation that anchors the network’s all-new night of fantasy, action and adventure.

The demo for LucasArts' STAR WARS: THE FORCE UNLEASHED has crushed download records since its release on August 21 on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace.

Maya Serves As Animation Platform For Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Lucasfilm Ltd. and Lucasfilm Animation are using Autodesk Maya software to create the upcoming television series STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS, just as they did to create the feature-length animated film now in theaters.

These are the first animated STAR WARS projects from Lucasfilm. The projects benefitted from a global production environment, with Maya as the hub for creating highly detailed worlds, characters and creatures, including Anakin Skywalker, R2-D2, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Jabba the Hutt.

The Force Unleashed Now On Xbox Live Marketplace, PlayStation Network

PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 owners can now unleash the Force in the comfort of their own homes by downloading the demo of STAR WARS: THE FORCE UNLEASHED from Xbox Live or the PlayStation Network.

The demo gives players a taste of one of the early levels in the game: the TIE Fighter Construction Facility, under siege by a Jedi General named Rahm Kota. The Secret Apprentice has been sent by Darth Vader to hunt down and destroy the General, but is also told that, in order to remain a secret, he is to leave no witnesses.

Star Wars, McDonald's Join Forces

This summer, McDonald's ventures into a galaxy far, far away for the first time ever. LeapFrog Explores Faraway Galaxies And New Frontiers

LeapFrog Enterprises announced two new educational game titles based on Lucasfilm's upcoming STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS and one game based on the summer blockbuster INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL.

There are also plans for LeapFrog to develop two additional STAR WARS learning games for 2009. All new games will connect to the proprietary LeapFrog Learning Path, a free online tool that will show parents what their child is learning with their LeapFrog products.

Lucasfilm will present an exclusive advance screening of their animated film STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS as part of the new Production Studio Nights at the SIGGRAPH 2008 Computer Animation Festival. Hosted by John Knoll, Visual Effects Supervisor from ILM, the evening will begin with a behind-the-scenes discussion about the film's design and style with the film's director, Dave Filoni.

New York International Children's Film Festival presents a special advance screening of STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS, an exciting new addition to the STAR WARS universe and the first animated feature film from Lucasfilm. This event takes place at 5 p.m. on Sunday, August 10, at Symphony Space, 2537 Broadway (at 95th Street). Episode II For Robot Chicken: Star Wars A Go

ROBOT CHICKEN: STAR WARS, the sequel, has been greenlit, according to THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER. Just days after earning an Emmy nomination for Best Animated Series, the Adult Swim show is moving forward with Episode II, to air November 16.

"It doesn't even seem real -- getting to make STAR WARS twice!" said ROBOT CHICKEN co-creator Seth Green. Green won an Annie Award for directing the first one, and will helm the sequel. The first ROBOT CHICKEN: STAR WARS special was released to DVD on Tuesday.

U.S. Premiere Of Star Wars: The Clone Wars At Egyptian

The U.S. premiere of the new CG-animated feature film STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS will be held Sunday, Aug. 10, at the Egyptian Theatre, where STAR WARS: EPISODE V THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK debuted 28 years ago.

The historic Egyptian Theatre is also the home of the American Cinematheque, and all proceeds raised from the premiere of Lucasfilm Animation's first theatrical release will benefit the non-profit organization and its efforts to celebrate the moving picture in all of its forms. The Egyptian was also the home of the very first Hollywood movie premiere, in 1922.
