On the heels of the sale of eOne to Lionsgate, company announces new division, lead by Olivier Dumont, to create multi-platform content from priority brands; Zev Foreman and Gabriel Marano named head of film and television, respectively.

Instead of beginning production this week in Vancouver, director Joachim Rønning revealed the threequel has been put on indefinite hiatus and 150 crew members laid off.

Due to changes in the global entertainment industry, the studio known for ‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars,’ which began as Lucasfilm Animation Singapore in 2004, will soon shutter its doors, eliminating over 300 jobs. 

Despite heavy teasing by golden lasso-wielding actress Gal Gadot, James Gunn and Peter Safran have no current plans for a ‘Wonder Woman 3’ project, and her chances of joining the new DCU are slim. 

The brave group have signed authorization cards to help bring the VFX industry towards union representation in the face of shocking firings, long hours, and 7-day weeks.

The sale includes almost 6,500 titles, but notably omits popular franchises such as ‘Peppa Pig,’ ‘Transformers,’ ‘Dungeons & Dragons,’ ‘Magic: The Gathering,’ ‘My Little Pony,’ ‘Power Rangers,’ ‘Play-Doh,’ ‘Monopoly’ and ‘Clue,’ which will receive ‘significant development, production and financing capabilities.’
