Toon Boom Studio v2.5 in Francais

Toon Boom Launches Symphony Worldwide, Studio for PC

Toon Boom Animation has launched the customer release of Toon Boom Studio v2.5 for PC. In addition, Toon Boom has announced the calendar of launch events for the release of Toon Boom Symphony.

Similar to the Mac 2.5 version, Toon Boom Studio for PC now includes a number of features, including:* Support for scanning* Ability to draw in the 3D Sceneplanning space* Improved sound scrubbing* Visualization and manipulation of drawings and keyframes in the Timeline.

Toon Boom Releases Symphony

Toon Boom Animation announced the release of Symphony. With features such as morphing, basic inverse kinematics and "glue" (automatic joint connecting) that enhance the paperless animation production process, Symphony enables studios to produce high quality digital animation. Advanced drawing and asset management tools combined with a seamless, integrated workflow saves significant overhead costs while adding value to their animations. Symphony also building on the advanced features provided by Opus and Concerto.

Toon Boom Localizes Sales & Service in Asia

Toon Boom Animation Inc. has appointed two new resellers in China and Korea. As part of its new distribution strategy in Asia, Dison Computer Graphics & Image Company Ltd. will now take care of Toon Boom's products throughout Mainland China, while CS M&C Technology Inc. will do the same in Korea. Both Dison and CS M&C will also provide first-line support to Toon Boom's local customers within the same time zone and language.

Paul Girouard Reups at Toon Boom

Paul Girouard has rejoined Toon Boom Animation as evp, worldwide sales and business development. Girouard previously held that position at Toom Boom until 2000 when he became vp of new business development worldwide for Dream Mechanics.

Toon Disney celebrates the addition of the legendary 1995 animated series SPIDER-MAN into its popular JETIX action-adventure programming block with a JETIX Web-Slingin Marathon July 2 through July 4, 2004 from 7-11:00 pm. Family Guy Ready for Primetime on TBS

TBS has added an hour block of FAMILY GUY to its summer primetime lineup. Starting July 7, 2004, the cable net will broadcast back-to-back episodes on Wednesdays from 8:00-9:00 pm. TBS previously aired the toon afternoons last summer. The toon will also continue to air on TBS' sister channel Cartoon Network, where its the highest rated programming the network's Adult Swim block. After being cancelled, the series surprise success on DVD has spurred Fox to renew the series for 22 new episodes, which will begin airing in 2005.

Toon Boom Studio Version 2.5 for Mac Ready

Toon Boom Animation has launched Toon Boom Studio version 2.5 for Mac OS X, a program used primarily for 2D cartoon animation. Some of the releases new features include sound scrubbing in the Timeline, the ability to draw in Sceneplanning and support for scanning.

Toon Boom's client base ranges from major studios creating Hollywood blockbuster animated films to individual animators creating their first masterpieces.

The upgrade can be purchased online or from a reseller at $ 199.

Limelight Media announced that ANIME IN THE LIMELIGHT (AITL), the popular Japanese animation music show produced in Honolulu, Hawaii, officially resumed one-hour broadcasts February 7, 2004. Vogelesang Takes Over Toon Boom Technologies

COO Joan Vogelesang has been appointed president of Toon Boom Technologies Inc., replacing Jacques Bilodeau who has left the company. She now takes complete charge of the company's direction and will continue to spearhead sales, marketing and operations, according to Hubert Manseau, chairman of board. Toon Boom Launches USAnimation OPUS

Toon Boom released its latest version of USAnimation with improved features and a new name to distinguish one of the most widely used 2D animation softwares in the world. USAnimation OPUS features a new user interface for users to configure layouts to suit their own workflow preferences.
