Big Machine Design (BMD) has produced a new main title opening sequence and show graphics package for the TV program X-TESTERS, which airs on The Learning Channel. For X-TESTERS, BMD produced a main title opening sequence combining graphics and live action. BMDs client for the program was Lee Toft, post supervisor at Mike Mathis Prods.

Set to air Thursday, Dec. 15, 2005, at 11:35 pm, THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH JAY LENO will premiere 2-0-5, the latest animated spoof from JibJab.

"From Katrina, FEMA, bird flu, insurgents, Cindy Sheehan and Scooter Libby to Tom Delay... there were so many issues facing the President, we had to make the song lightening fast to squeeze them all in," said Gregg and Evan Spiridellis, co-founders of JibJab. "People will want to watch it again and again to catch all the references."

Boondocks Moves Onto Cartoon Network Neighborhood Nov. 6

The highly anticipated and publicized series, THE BOONDOCKS, Adult Swims new animated comedy series based on Aaron McGruders award-winning comic strip of the same name, premieres Nov. 6, 2005, at 11:00 pm on Cartoon Network.

BOONDOCKS fans should find the series a good transition from comic strip to a provocative family-based comedy in your face with social relevance and satire. It has an arresting, anime look that is true to the color and graphic line style of the comic and stands out with a somewhat different, appealing look for animation and comics fans.

Aaron McGruder Tele-Stomping for Boondocks

Cartoonist Aaron McGruder recently met with reporters around the country to discuss the upcoming Adult Swim premiere of the cartoon version of his in-your-face BOONDOCKS comic strip, which debuts Nov. 6, 2005, at 11:00 pm. That it was a virtual meeting via a telephone conference call gave the event the feel of an electronic séance, with an unseen moderator/medium directing unseen participants to pose their questions to the unseen subject whom for all we knew couldve been a ringer filling in for McGruder.

In conjunction with Lucasfilm, The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising/FIDM is proud to present Dressing a Galaxy: The Costumes of Star Wars, a runway show celebrating the work of costume designer, Trisha Biggar. The show is an extension of a larger exhibition being held at the FIDM Museum and Galleries in Los Angeles, California. The show, a combination of film and theatre, will feature approximately thirty-five of the most elegant and boldly imaginative Star Wars costumes and celebrates the bond between fashion and film.

LACDA announces its Un-Juried Competition: Snap to Grid. In its second annual exhibition of this kind participants each upload one image to be printed on high-quality paper (8.5x11) and hung in a grid in the gallery. The show will be widely promoted and will include a reception for the artists.

After the exhibition the images and artist information will be available to view in our artist portfolios. Artwork for future exhibits will be selected from the portfolios, and will also be available for review by area gallerists, curators and arts journalists.
