Battlestar Galactica to Close Out Series with Season 4

Exec producers Ronald D. Moore and David Eick have decided to end BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, SCI FI Channel's Peabody Award-winning original series, season 4. They will use the 22-episode season, currently in production, to draw the saga of humanity's struggle for survival to a close.

4Kids Ent. Home Video, in association with FUNimation Ent., released TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: SEASON 1 PART 1 on DVD. Adult Swim Announces 2007 Slate at New York Upfront

Adult Swim announced its new slate of programming for 2007, as well as the addition of a seventh night beginning on Friday, July 6, at 11:00 pm. during its upfront presentation to advertisers in New York City today, (April 26, 2007). She-Ra: Season One, Vol. Two Powers Onto DVD

BCI Eclipse, a Navarre Corp. company, and leading U.K. media company and underlying rights owner, Entertainment Rights Plc., have introduced the next installment of SHE-RA: PRINCESS OF POWER SEASON ONE, VOLUME TWO for $49.98. The six DVD pack will be released under BCI's Ink & Paint brand and will include 33 digitally remastered episodes from the first season of the '80s animated series.

SHE-RA: PRINCESS OF POWER SEASON ONE, VOLUME TWO, is the second release in a three-volume set that will include all 93 original episodes of the popular animated saga.

SCI FI Extends Galactica Season 4

SCI FI Channel has upped its episode order for season 4 of its Peabody Award-winning original series BATTLESTAR GALACTICA from 13 to 22 episodes. This will include a special two-hour extended event that will air during fourth quarter 2007 and be released on DVD by Universal Studios Home Ent. thereafter.

Currently approaching its season 3 finale on March 25, production on the new season of Galactica will begin in May with an eye to an early 2008 premiere.

Warner Home Video (WHV) has released WHAT'S NEW SCOOBY-DOO? THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON on DVD. The two-disc DVD sells for $19.98.

All 13 episodes from the series' first season are included on this DVD. A bonus episode, "A Scooby-Doo Valentine," is also included. Open Season Goes Hunting on DVD

OPEN SEASON, the debut feature from Sony Pictures Pictures Animation, makes its way to DVD, Blu-ray Disc and PSP on Jan. 30, 2007 (Sony Pictures Home Ent., $28.95, $38.95 and $28.95, respectively).

Included on the DVD is a brand new short, BOOG AND ELLIOT'S MIDNIGHT RUN, directed by Jill Culton, who helmed OPEN SEASON with Roger Allers and co-director Anthony Stacchi. In BOOG AND ELLIOT'S MIDNIGHT RUN, which reunites Boog (Martin Lawrence), the domesticated bear, and Elliot (Ashton Kutcher), the one-antlered mule deer, as they try to steal some sweet rolls.

NBC Saves Heroes For Full Season

Due to the success of its first two episodes, HEROES has been picked up for a full season by NBC, according to THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER. The new drama averaged 13.5 million viewers and a 5.7 rating/14 share for adults 18-49. This put it as the #1 new series among that demographic.

Airing on Mondays at 9:00 pm, the show chronicles the lives of ordinary people around the world, who begin to discover that they have superhuman abilities.

Battlestar Galactica: The Resistance Premieres Exclusively on SCIFI.COM

In a broadcasting first, SCI FI will launch its season online, with a five-week, 10-episode online-only prequel season called BATTLESTAR GALACTICA: THE RESISTANCE. Premiering today (Sept. 5, 2006) SCIFI.COM will begin airing two- to three-minute episodes every Tuesday and Thursday at midnight, at www.scifi.com/battlestar, leading up to the Oct. 6 season 3 premiere on television.

Doctor Who Second Season Slated for SCI FI Channel with Kick-off Special

BBC Worldwide Americas has licensed a second season of DOCTOR WHO to SCI FI kicking off with a two-hour premiere on Sept. 29, 2006, that will include the Christmas Invasion special in which David Tennant (HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE) was introduced as the 10th Time Lord.

The Doctor returns with his feisty young companion, Rose Tyler (Billie Piper), and together they will travel through time and space battling new and returning aliens and monsters.
