NEW YORK, May 4 -- The hit films "Twilight" and "Slumdog Millionaire" get ready to battle it out as MTV: Music Television announces this year's final nominees for the "2009 MTV MOVIE AWARDS." Digital-Tutors will support Game-Artist.Net's "Scene from a Movie" competition, an environment challenge supported by CGSociety for new and experienced artists interested in bridging the gap between motion pictures and videogames by creating visual realism and providing real-time experiences through selecting a specific scene from a film and creating a 3D environment based on that chosen setting.

Littleloud's latest Flash game delivery for the upcoming WATCHMEN movie has just gone live at www.minutemenarcade.com.

It’s a web-based 1980s-style arcade game to promote the movie release. The cabinet is stationed inside the Gunga Diner, in 1986, where you can play as the Minutemen and enter your high score onto a global leader board.

The game was made over a six-week period from scratch and all of the assets from the 3D build of the diner through to the character sprites were created in-house.

The CORALINE videogame from D3Publisher, based on LAIKA's new movie -- the first-ever stop-motion animated feature to be made in 3-D -- will feature the voice talents of Dakota Fanning, Keith David, and Robert Bailey Jr. All three actors will reprise their onscreen voiced roles of Coraline Jones (Fanning), Cat (David) and Wybie Lovat (Bailey Jr.).

THE DARK KNIGHT won for Favorite Movie and WALL-E for Favorite Family Movie at Wednesday's 35th Annual People's Choice Awards, held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

THE DARK KNIGHT beat out INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL, with four other wins, including Favorite Cast, Superhero, Action Movie and On-Screen Matchup between Christian Bale as Batman and the late Heath Ledger as the Joker. In accepting, Bale said, "On behalf of all of the cast from the movie, thank you very much to the fans. Here's to Heath." (per VARIETY).

U.S. movie critics say the animated documentary WALTZ WITH BASHIR was the best film of 2008, giving it a National Society of Film Critics award.

The LOS ANGELES TIMES reported Sunday the movie from Ari Folman details the Israeli director's struggles with repressed memories that date back to his experience in the 1982 Lebanon War.

The doc beat out HAPPY-GO-LUCKY and WALL-E, among others.

Who will reign as the People's Choice? Batman, Indy or Iron Man? The nominees for the 35th annual People's Choice Awards were announced Monday.

Queen Latifah will host the show, which will air life January 7 from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. Anyone can vote for their favorites in more than 40 categories, including new categories for favorite superhero, TV drama diva and movie cast.
