Cartoon Network Names Alice Cahn to Social Responsibility Post

Alice Cahn has been promoted to the newly created position of vice president, social responsibility for Cartoon Network, it was announced today. In her new role, Cahn will be responsible for providing guidance, content direction and coordination on the design and implementation of outreach and social-responsibility initiatives across all Cartoon Network divisions. She also will continue to develop key relationships with media and child advocacy communities, appropriate sponsors, educators, nonprofit organizations and trade associations.

VIZ Media Names Toy Licensee For Blue Dragon, Signs New Naruto Deals

VIZ Media Llc. announced at the 2007 Licensing International Expo that Bandai America Inc. has been named as the toy licensee for products based on BLUE DRAGON, a new anime series based on the popular Xbox 360 role playing game. Earlier this year, VIZ Media was named the master licensor for the television, home video and non-videogame merchandising rights for BLUE DRAGON by a consortium, including TV TOKYO Corp. and Shueisha Inc, for the Americas, Europe and Oceania.

WOW! WOW! WUBBZY! arrives at the Licensing Expo with a second season renewal on Nick Jr. and Noggin, new international deals in Latin America, India, Indonesia and more, and a whole Wuzzleburg's worth of new licensees.

Nickelodeon has ordered 26 more episodes of WOW! WOW! WUBBZY!. The series, which is produced by Bolder Media, in association with Starz Media, is currently in its first season on Nick Jr. and sister network Noggin.

ANIYUG 2007

Masters of Digital Media Signs Gaming Pioneer Tom Frisina

Gaming industry legend Tom Frisina, talent development exec at Electronic Arts (EA), will join the team at the Masters of Digital Media (MDM) Program as a part-time faculty member.
