The Walt Disney Company EMEA today announced plans to triple its investment in production of television animation in the region to reflect the growing importance of internationally sourced content for its global portfolio of channels. Charter Breaks Out of Bankruptcy

Charter Communications has emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy, according to THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER. Paul Allen, chairman of the company, will continue to hold the largest voting interest in the company after it reduced debt by approximately 40 percent or $8 billion and cut annual interest rates by more than $830 million.

Post/VFX House Pacific Title in Receivership

Ninety-year-old Hollywood post-production and VFX house Pacific Title & Art Studio is set to be liquidated, per VARIETY.

Efforts to get new financing for the company have failed, according to an email to employees from CEO and President David McCarthy, and all current projects will be completed by the end of June.

A buyer could emerge to save the company, but McCarthy's email was clear: "You should all immediately consider yourself laid off."
