ITM Brings Producers and Freelancers Together

ITM Creatives, the artistic division of talent agency International Talent Management (ITM), has launched a site that allows producers to search for freelance artists, animators and related technicians by location, profession and availability. Operating across the three primary entertainment fields -- interactive entertainment, feature films and television -- ITM doesn't charge the hiring company for using its services and is committed to charging its clients a reasonable commission as part of their agency representation.

Minnie Driver Raids Tombs for ReVisioned

Minnie Driver will provide the voice for Lara Croft in GameTap's REVISIONED, the online animated series that will ask various artists to give their take on TOMB RAIDER for the first season. The 10-episode animated webseries debuts July 10, 2007.

"Minnie Driver really does have a fabulous voice," Ricardo Sanchez, GameTap's vp of content, said. "She's had experience doing animation as well, which was good. She was perfect."

20th Century Fox Television Licensing & Merchandising presents What The Deuce Are You Staring At!?! A Collection of Interpretive Work Inspired by FAMILY GUY, the first Pop Surrealist exhibition of new works inspired by a television series. Featuring the new pieces of twenty-one emerging artists, the exhibit remains on public view through January 21, 2007, when it will embark on a world tour of animation galleries around the globe.

Guava Ventures Into Casper’s Scare School

Visual effects studio Guava made its first foray into effects for feature films with CASPERS SCARE SCHOOL, an entirely CG movie finished in HD that premiered Oct. 20 on Cartoon Network.

Guava vfx supervisor Alex Catchpoole completed 20 shots for the movie, including adding smoke to several shots, digitally re-lighting several scenes, and adding lens distortion and digital broken glass to a telescope shot.

Raid Projects Needs Artist In Residency

Raid Projects is looking for an artist to fill the September, October and November Artist In Residency space. Previously approved artists will get priority, but all artists are encouraged to apply.

For periods of three or six months residents are provided with living accommodations, a studio and during the last month of their stay a well-publicized solo exhibition. During the residency Raid facilitates residents to establish working professional links in the L.A. art world and to bring curators, critics and collectors to see the solo show privately.
