Der Hahn weckt allmorgendlich die Sonne. Dafür sind ihm seine Hennen treu ergeben. Als der Hahn einmal das Wecken der Sonne vergißt, geht diese trotzdem auf. Die Hennen erkennen den Schwindel und es beginnt ein erbitterter Kampf um die Macht.

The cock wakes the sun every morning. That is why his hens are devoted to him. When the cock forgets to wake the sun once, the sun rises nevertheless. The hens recognize this swindle and a fierce battle for power begins.

Ein junger Mann kommt an seinem Urlaubsziel an. Naiv und sehr eingebildet ahnt er nicht, daß er beobachtet wird und auf unheimliche Art als Opfer in Betracht kommt. Als er, sonnenverbrannt, in sein Hotelzimmer zurückkommt, trifft ihn ein unerwarteter Schlag.

A young man arrives at his holiday destination. Naive, and very taken in by himself, he does not suspect that he is under surveillance and eerily being considered as prey. When he returns, very sunburnt, to his hotel room, a fatal stroke from an unexpected quarter awaits him.

"Restlessness" ist ein experimenteller Trickfilm , vielleicht über das Verlangen. Der Film beschäftigt sich mit der Idee einer surrealistischen "Junggesellenmaschine", über die Länge des Films zieht sich die Bewegung einer Schlange und er enthält Tagebuch-Elemente von Georges Méliès und aus der aztekischen Kosmologie.

"Restlessness" is an experimental animation, perhaps about desire. The film is constructed within the notion of a surrealist "Bachelormachine", is informed throughout by the motion of a snake, and contains elements diaristic, from Georges Méliès, and from Aztec cosmology.

Konrad, ein stiller, skurriler Herr Mitte 50, hat zwecks Realisation seiner Träume eine Feenfalle gebaut. Doch statt des erwarteten Märchenwesens fängt er Frieda, eine Pilotin samt ihrem Flugzeug. Konrads Enttäuschung und Friedas Ärger über die Beschädigung des Flugzeugs wandeln sich allmählich zu gegenseitiger Sympathie.

Konrad , a quiet, eccentric gentleman, in his middle fifties, has built a fairy trap in order to fulfill his dreams. But instead of the expected fairytale figure, he catches Frieda, a pilot, and her airplane. Konrad's disappointment and Frieda's annoyance about the damage to the airplane slowly change into mutual sympathy.

Dieses ist der fünfte Film einer Reihe, die das Leben des Felix Teitlebaum aufzeichnet. Felix, (der in dem vorausgegangenen Film seine Geliebte verloren hat), ist allein in seinem Zimmer - ein kleiner Raum, in den er sich zurückziehen kann. Aus einem Koffer und in dem Raum ertönen Laute von zuhause. In seinem anderen Land betrachtet eine Frau das Land und findet seine Geschichte in Felsen und Wasserläufen. Er muß sich unbedingt mit ihr in Verbindung setzen. Aber das ist fast unmöglich.

This is the 5th in a series of films chronicling the life of Felix Teitlebaum.
Felix, (having lost his mistress in the previous film) is alone in his room - a small cubicle of private exile. From his suitcase and through the air come intimations of home. In his other country a woman surveys the veld, finding its history in rocks and gullies. Felix needs to get back to her. But making contact is almost impossible.

"Still Life with small Cup" ist eine radikale Neubearbeitung einer Radierung des italienischen Künstlers Giorgio Morandi, die dadurch entstand, daß Bild für Bild direkt auf die photographische Emulsion von Farbfilmen eingraviert wurde. Der Betrachter wird auf eine Reise durch die Radierungen mitgenommen, begleitet von den Tönen und Geräuschen, die der Künstler vielleicht während seiner Arbeit durch sein Fensters gehört hat.
"Ich glaube, daß nichts abstrakter, unwirklicher sein kann, als das, was wir tatsächlich sehen. Wir wissen, daß alles, was wir von der objektiven Welt sehen, nie so existiert, wie wir es sehen und verstehen. Die Materie existiert natürlich, hat aber keine wirkliche Bedeutung, nur die, die wir ihr geben. Nur wir wissen, daß eine Tasse eine Tasse ist, daß ein Baum ein Baum ist". (Giorgio Morandi 1890 - 1964)

"Still Life with Small Cup" is a radical reworking of an etching by the Italian artist Giorgio Morandi, brought to life by engraving frame by frame directly into the photographic emulsion of colour filmstock. The viewer is taken on a journey through the etching, accompanied by the sounds that the artist might have heard from his window as he worked.
"I believe that nothing can be more abstract, more unreal, than what we actually see. We know that all we can see of the objective world never really exists as we see it and understand it. Matter exists of course, but has no intrinsic meaning, such as those we attach to it. Only we can know that a cup is a cup, that a tree is a tree". (Giorgio Morandi 1890 - 1964)
