George and Rosemary was made at The National Film Board of Canada in 1987.  It is about an elderly man, George Edgecombe, who has desires for the elderly woman across the road.  George spies on the woman and watches her come and go, but really, he has to work up the nerve to ask her out for a date.

This whimsical 9 minute film exploring elderly romance won a number of awards including an Oscar nomination, a Canadian Academy award (A Genie!) and first prize at the Zagreb animation festival.
