Ottawa can be reached by air, train, bus or car.
If you are flying directly to Ottawa you can reach the downtown area
by taking either the airport shuttle bus ($9.00) or a taxi (approximately
$20.00). Depending upon which hotel is your destination, the shuttle
bus takes about 45 minutes. The taxi ride from the Ottawa airport to
downtown Ottawa takes about 20 to 25 minutes.
For those traveling from overseas via Montreal's Dorval Airport, transportation
to Ottawa should be arranged in advance. For information on Dorval Airport,
call (514) 633-3105.
Taxis are readily available at the Ottawa train station and the Ottawa
bus depot.
OCTranspo (Ottawa's local bus service) runs buses out of the airport,
train station and bus depot. Bus fare, from the airport, is $ 2.25 and
usually runs every 20 to 25 minutes straight to the downtown core. If
you plan to travel by bus during your stay, you will find it more economical
to purchase bus tickets. These tickets can be purchased in sheets of
ten for $ 7.50. This brings the bus fare from $ 2.25 to $1.50. Stores
displaying the OC Transpo logo usually sell them.

unless that individual has a film SAFO 99's Official Competition at
which time accommodations will be arranged by the Festival Guest Office.

and amenities. The rates quoted are subject to changes. The prices quoted
do not included a 5% Ontario room tax and a 7 % federal goods and services
tax.

of rooms set aside for SAFO 99 participants. Please note that the period
of the festival is an extremely busy time in Ottawa and all hotels will
stop holding rooms approximately one month prior to the
festival's opening day. Be sure to book your rooms as soon as possible
and mention you are with the Ottawa International Student Animation Festival
in order to receive the special rate. The toll free numbers may not be
