SAFO AWARD WINNERS ANNOUNCED!
The first International Student Animation Festival of Ottawa (SAFO) came to a close Sunday, September 21st when prizes were announced during a closing awards ceremony at the National Arts Centre.
Grand Prize: We Lived In Grass. Andreas Hykade (Germany).
Best Unfinished Film: Love Story . Pedram Goshtasbpour, Jason Rennie (Canada)
Runner Up Best Unfinished Film: Der Tenor. Thor Freudenthal (Germany)
Best Character Animation: Cappuccino. Ulo Pikkov (Estonia)
Best Computer Animation: Riante ContrÈe. Francois Vogel (France)
Runner Up Best Computer Animation: Adrenaline. Lionel Richerand (France)
Best Experimental Film: Fruhling. Silke Parzich. (Germany)
Best Background Design: Seasonís Greetings. Michael Dougherty (USA)
Best Canadian Film: Mr. Lucky. David Soren (Canada)
