Headline News Technicolor's Paprikaas Animation Awarded Kung Fu Panda Series

Technicolor (Euronext Paris 18453; NYSE: TCH) today announced that Nickelodeon, part of MTV Networks, a division of Viacom Inc. (NYSE: KDE), has awarded Technicolor's Bangalore-based animation studio, Paprikaas, the Kung Fu Panda TV series, which will be produced as an animated series for the worldwide broadcast market, initially comprising 26 episodes.

Aardman Animation is teaming up with Korean animation house Voozclub and Spain's Screen 21 to produce the children's property, CANIMALS, reports VARIETY. Aardman will head up the writing of the 52 seven-minute episodes, as well as the voicing. Voozclub and Screen 21 will handle design, animation and sound production.
