Dreamworks can keep pushing that "Trolls" movie to the summer of the day after the world ends... Because Nobody wants to see it. Trolls? Seriously? Anand Tucker looks like a Troll, I'll give you that.
Troll dolls are easily the most unappealing Toy of all time, and I can't wait to see what unappealing models Dreamworks makes of them.

More American jobs to somewhere else!

All Katzenberg cares about is Money. He fires 400 US workers and sends their jobs to the Dreamworks India studio, and now he's planning more layoffs to make room for the Dreamworks China studio.

It may look hokey & dated to you, but he & a small crew did what it takes 300 people to do now without the tools they have. His work was for its time, exeptional.

Mr. Harryhausen was one of the absolute greatest fantasy film effects creators of all time and a personal inspiration. I loved the fact that all his creatures had a distinct personality and always came off as living, breathing entities. R.I.P., and thanx for a childhood of wonder and magic.

The enchanting characters created by Ray Harryhausen in his films inspired me to go into the animation industry.  I am sharing those memories and films with my two young sons and they love it.

I met Mr. Harryhausen at the San Diego Comic-Con in 1992.  We spoke about stop-motion animation, and how our fathers were both very supportive of our artistic endeavors.  He was a kind and gracious spirit.

So long, sir, and thanks for all the wonderful entertainment and inspiration.

Here is an LA Times Feb. 2013 article on how Dreamworks wrote off $87 million for "Rise of the Guardians".  It's failure also led to layoffs.  No question, the movie was a solid box office failure, given how much it cost to produce.  We can talk about WHY it failed if you want.  I agree that it is gorgeous to see, but that is not so unusual any more for big budget animated films.  The audiences will not start raving on Tweets because a movie is gorgeous. 

A major problem, IMO, had to do with the target audience.  Forget about all that "movie for the whole family" BS, when you tell a story, you tell it to an audience.  "Guardians" was not for little kids, we can be pretty sure of that.  Teens?  Maybe, but it is not a good date movie.  Adults?  Okay, but what is really in the story for adults?  What's the point once you get over how gorgeous it is?  Nothing sticks with you after seeing "Guardians".  It is an extremely light weight high-concept, high-gloss-production kind of Hollywood film, designed purely to get the rubes forking over the box office bucks.  It didn't work as planned, that's all.  We are likely to see more and more of these big-budget foul balls because the big studios have stopped being creative and are into re-treads.

I don't know why but in my opinion Bryan Cranston has a great voice for Kung Fu.
