Kevin D.A. Kurytnik
Kevin Kurytnik was adopted in 1966. Two years before, he was born at the General Hospital in Norquay, Saskatchewan. He has only recently found out that his mom who he has lived with until he went to The Alberta College of Art to study Visual Communications in 1982 is biologially his Aunt and that one of his Aunts on his Father's side is his mom. Undoubtably this will be great fodder for an autobiographical film some day.
Until the inspiration for that film hits he keeps himself busy making other independent short animated films and teaching animation to all ages, mostly through the Quickdraw Animation Society.

Abandon Bob Hope, All Ye Who Enter Here
A Divine Comedic Satire
1997 - 7 minutes, cel animation
Directed by Kevin D. A. Kurytnik
Music By Willy Joosen
A seven minute long black and white epic with sound on video.
Big
apologies to Dante, Dore and Preston Blair
An Extremely Grim
Animation, 1997
Abandon Bob Hope, All Ye Who Enter Here is a bastard satirical mutation comprised primarily of animated collage bits of Gustave Dore's Divine Comedy engravings of the Inferno and those oversized "how to" animation books that were put out by Hal Foster and were created by animator Preston Blair. You know the ones.
The diametrically opposed bits were selected, photocoped, chopped up and then processed in a blender before being forced at gun point onto film. As a final conceptual insult this scathing critique of bland toons is only available for screening on video.
