The production facilities at QAS include:
- The McInnes Stand - 16/35mm Mitchell/Portman camera and stand, this one has a pedigree, having been previously located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, it was used to shoot “The Cat Came Back” and “The Big Snit”
- The Banff Stand - 16/35mm Oxberry Twin Column camera and stand, on permanent loan from the prestigious Banff Centre for the Arts. This stand has been customized for multi-plane set ups.
- Producing Members Room - a modified 16mm Oxberry Filmmaker stand with video capabilities, for back and top lit experimental animation techniques.
- Stop Motion Package - Sign it out and take it home! A 16mm Bolex camera and tripod, with Meritex single frame motor and lighting package.
- RETAS! Pro digital ink and paint system - the full system running on a three seat network of Mac G4’s, it replaces all the processes of conventional animation production.
- Amiga Take 2, Lunchbox sync, VHS and S-VHS line test systems.
- Computer support for various sound creation and image processing programs.
- Various 16mm and 35mm film editing equipment including a Intercine flatbed.
