X-Men: First Class Casts Its Beast & Banshee
Caleb Landry Jones and Nicholas Hoult have been cast in 20th Century Fox's X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, reports VARIETY. Jones (THE LAST EXORCISM) will play Banshee, the mutant with the sonic scream. Hoult (A SINGLE MAN) takes on the part of Henry McCoy aka the Beast, a blue-furred mutant whose intellect matches his super strength. They join James MacAvoy, Michael Fassbender and Alice Eve.
Matthew Vaughn (LAYER CAKE) is directing from a script by STARDUST writer Jane Goldman. The story originated with Bryan Singer, who will produce with Lauren Shuler Donner and Simon Kinberg.
Production will start in August with June 3, 2011 set for the film's release.
