Clancy Collins and Jeanne Cotton join the Warner Bros. Television current programs department as vp and director, while Stephanie Groves and Rebecca Franko move up to director and manager respectively, all serving under Melinda Hage, svp, WBTV current programs.
We have assembled a first-rate current team and are looking forward to the challenges of the new season, said Hage. Clancy is a veteran executive with strong relationships in our community; Jeanne Cotton is one of the sharpest executives in television, and we are delighted she has joined the current department. Stephanies contributions to the department have been invaluable. Both she and Rebecca have done tremendous jobs in their current positions and deserve to be recognized with these promotions.
Collins will serve as the current executive for WITHOUT A TRACE, COLD CASE and EYES. Collins was svp, creative affairs, at MGM Worldwide Television, where she developed the critically acclaimed cable series DEAD LIKE ME and the reality series FAME, and she teamed to develop STARGATE: ATLANTIS. She also was vp, development for Paramount Domestic TV and developed the syndicated series THE HOWIE MANDEL SHOW and WILD THINGS.
Cotton will serve as director, current programs, and as the current executive covering ER, THE WEST WING and THIRD WATCH and the midseason project JONNY ZERO. Formerly vp, research, Cotton supervised all aspects of research at WBTV. She joined the company in 2000 as director, research, and previously was the associate director of primetime research at ABC.
Groves joined the WBTV current department in 1998 and was promoted to manager in 2002. Her responsibilities include oversight of EVERWOOD, THE O.C., JACK & BOBBY and the midseason projects ATHENS and JONNY ZERO.
Franko moves up to manager, current programs, and will assist in the coverage of ALL OF US, NIP/TUCK, EVE and VERONICA MARS. Most recently an executive assistant in the current programs department, she started at the studio in 1999 as an assistant in the research department.
