Warners Ready for Second Holmes Adventure
While the film isn't set for release until December, SHERLOCK HOLMES looks like it will be getting a sequel, according to THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER. Warner Bros. has tapped writers Kieran and Michele Mulroney (JUSTICE LEAGUE: MORTAL) to pen a follow-up.
Rumors around the net have Brad Pitt in talks to play Holmes' archenemy Moriarty in the follow-up. While no deals have been confirmed, the original pic's stars Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law and Rachel McAdams are likely to return.
Susan Downey, Dan Lin and Joel Silver have produced the first installment, which combines Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's tales with the comic book version of SHERLOCK HOLMES. Guy Ritchie directed and Michael Robert Johnson, Anthony Peckham, Lionel Wigram and Simon Kinberg contributed to the screenplay.
