has closed a reseller agreement with CG Wave Inc., one of Koreas most respected computer graphics software resellers.
Korea seeks to be a digital media powerhouse and already dominates online gaming, said Pipelinefx ceo Bill Spencer. The Korean government invests more than $200 million per year in digital media education and infrastructure. Several Korean game companies and film studios already are industry leaders throughout Asia. We have chosen CG Wave Inc. because of its depth of experience, commitment to the highest quality customer service and support, and its reputation for integrity.
Pipelinefxs Korea initiatives were spearheaded by PacifiCap Group Llc., the lead investor in the company.
PacifiCap helped Pipelinefx to initiate contacts with several large players in Koreas growing digital media industry, including Independence, Semologic, IBM Korea and NC Soft, the online gaming powerhouse. Key relationships were made and the right reseller team was selected to introduce Pipelinefxs products into this vibrant market, stated Kang Ahn, who acted as liaison. Ahn also represents PacifiCap on the Pipelinefx board.
Spencer and Ahn additionally met with officials of the Gyeonggi Digital Art Hive Center, a government funded incubator, which shares a 100CPU renderfarm with several CG animation and game companies.
Pipelinefx further validates our belief that Hawaii tech companies have the talent, technology and capacity to successfully compete in key international markets, commented Jeff Au, managing director of PacifiCap. Pipelinefx is the fourth company that we at PacifiCap have helped to successfully develop and launch an Asia-Pacific strategy. We look forward to continuing this effort with other Hawaii companies, to help them realize their full potential in the Asia-Pacific region.
