Markoe oversees all aspects of budgeting, post-production and the use of more economical new technologies for feature production and post-production for MGM Pictures and United Artists, MGM's specialty film subsidiary.
Markoe joined MGM in 1992, working as post-production supervisor on SON OF THE PINK PANTHER. In 1993, he was named vp, feature post-production, and promoted in 2000 to svp, feature post-production.
In 1999, Markoe instituted the use of high-definition dailies for feature post-production work and for previews. He also oversaw renovation of both picture and sound for the theatrical re-release and DVD release of The Beatles' YELLOW SUBMARINE. He is a member of the sound branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
Before joining MGM, Markoe organized, designed and was general manager of Skywalker Sound South. Before that, he served in various roles with audio-production facilities and independent film companies.
