files/pictures/picture-35.jpgRon Howard and Brian Grazer are keeping all options open for their epic film and TV adaptation of Stephen King's DARK TOWERS. Grazer told The NY Post's Page Six
that they are courting new partners for the project since Universal backed out. The plan was to produce a trilogy of films, which would be bridged by two limited TV series.
Howard is working to get outside funding and a major studio distributor. As for the TV portion of the project, the duo is talking with various TV networks and open to Netflix as an option as well.
Javier Bardem is attached to star as gunfighter Roland Deschain, who sets out to find the legendary Dark Towers, which hold the key to saving humanity.
Grazer said that the earliest they could start production at this point would be next year.
