James Cameron has ponied up his own money to option the rights to Charles Pellegrino's nonfiction book, THE LAST TRAIN FROM HIROSHIMA: THE SURVIVORS LOOK BACK, reports VARIETY [1]. Set to hit stores on Jan. 19th, the book chronicles eyewitness stories of the bombings of Hiroshima for Nagasaki from survivors and U.S. pilots.
Cameron had a chance to visit with Tsutomu Yamaguchi, the only survivor of the two bombings of Hiroshima, on Dec. 22nd. Yamaguchi died on Monday.
