Ultradome to Answer Who Would Win in a Fight
For fanboys who have always wondered who would win in a fight: Galdalf vs. Darth Vader or Neo vs. Harry Potter, HEROES actor Milo Ventimiglia is prepared to answer.
He will star and co-produce ULTRADOME, a scripted web show where fans can settle hypothetical disputes in a vfx showdown, reports THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER's The Live Feed.
"My whole life has been spent engaged with friends in intellectual debate ... like whether Captain Kirk is tougher than Spock or if Middle Earth is a more difficult place to live than Tatooine," Ventimiglia said. "With ULTRADOME, we can bring these debates to the public and settle them in the most logical way possible: through armed combat."
Similar in format to Spike TV's new DEADLIEST WARRIOR series, ULTRADOME is played for laughs in pop culture battles, and will feature fans fighting each other instead of re-creations of the actual warriors.
The show is from DiVide Pictures and Agility Studios. In each episode (three to five minutes in length), two characters will have a debate then get transported to a stadium to engage in single combat using the weapons, skills and pop culture touchstones from their arsenals.
Ventimiglia and partner Russ Cundiff came up with the idea after putting a few mock lightsaber battles online and thinking how Luke Skywalker could beat Spock.
He will appear in the first episode, pitting STAR WARS against THE LORD OF THE RINGS, and backing RINGS only because his co-star pleaded to represent STAR WARS.
