Toys Based On Call of Duty Game Coming
Plan-B Toys and Radioactive Clown have announced a new series of highly detailed, historically accurate, WWII action figures based on Activision's award-winning PC game, CALL OF DUTY. Series 1 will be available in North America and Europe May 2004.
"We're psyched to join forces with Activision on their blockbuster franchise, CALL OF DUTY," said Jim Bloom, ceo, Radioactive Clown. "The intense, adrenaline-surging action pumped us up to create true-to-gameplay action figures. Our commitment to making top-notch toys based on only the hottest PC and videogames, coupled with Plan B's solid track record of creating detailed military action figures, is the perfect combination to bring CALL OF DUTY to life."
"The team has worked hard to make sure every aspect of CALL OF DUTY was authentic down to the last detail," said David Anderson, senior director, business development, Activision Inc. "After seeing what Plan-B and Radioactive Clown could do, we knew they were ready to answer the call."
Series 1 will include six soldiers, representing American and German military. Each action figure will come equipped with multiple authentic weapons and accessories with an MSRP of $8.99. The Allies figures include 82nd Airborne: Operation Market Garden, 101st Airborne: D-Day Paratrooper and 101st Airborne: Bastogne. The Axis figures include Totenkopf Division Officer, Das Reich Division: Ardennes Offensive and Wiking Division: Eastern Front.

Radioactive Clown is an international manufacturer of collectible action figures based on the hottest PC and videogames such as UNREAL UNIVERSE: SERIES 1 and HORIZONS: EMPIRE OF ISTARIA. The company, created by former executives from the PC and videogame publisher Gathering of Developers (godgames), was conceived after recognizing that the video game action figure market was under-served and nearly non-existent.
