Director Tim Burton is in talks to return to the world of his 1988 classic Beetlejuice, according to a report by The Hollywood Reporter.
Burton reportedly has the offer from Warner Bros. to direct the movie, on which he is already a producer with David Geffen.
The latest draft of the script is by Seth Grahame-Smith (Dark Shadows, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter) and David Katzenberg. Michael Keaton is expected to reprise his role for the sequel.
Burton’s next film is an adaptation of a Ransom Riggs' young adult novel, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, for Fox. That movie has a release date of July 15, 2014.
