Entertainment Rights (ER) has secured U.K. merchandising, licensing and home entertainment rights to CLIFFORDS PUPPY DAYS, a new fully animated series produced by Scholastic Ent., which will launch on the BBCs CBeebies channel.
ER has already established a successful U.K. licensing program for CLIFFORD with key partners, including Character Options, Ackroyds, Smith and Brooks, Egmont Magazines, Arla and Heinz. In response to ERs achievements with the CLIFFORD brand Scholastic have recently extended its license agreement with ER for an additional two-year term.
ER will now be responsible for securing partners to develop product for this brand extension. ER has ready a CLIFFORDS PUPPY DAYS style guide filled with fresh new imagery, themes, ideas and inspiration for all licensees.
Right Ent. will be planning first home entertainment releases for CLIFFORDS PUPPY DAYS in 2005.
Is the prequel to CLIFFORD THE BIG RED DOG, taking place when Clifford was a tiny puppy living with Emily Elizabeth, in the city where she and her family first lived - before he had so much love that he grew so enormous. The puppy is small enough to fit inside Emily Elizabeths slipper but has bundles of energy plus a loveable nature and great sense of humor that wins him friends and fans everywhere. In PUPPY DAYS, Clifford has a diverse group of new friends, both human and animal. It offers literacy and community-based lessons consistent with those in CLIFFORD.
We have enjoyed a long and fruitful relationship with Scholastic Ent., said Anya Hollis, director of marketing and consumer products, ER. CLIFFORD is now very much part of the ER family of brands. We are looking forward to building on our successful development of CLIFFORD as a prestigious pre-school brand in the U.K. marketplace, to ensure a highly successful consumer products and home entertainment program for this exciting new brand extension CLIFFORDS PUPPY DAYS.
