Cake Gets Stoked to CANAL+, TPS Jeunesse

Following hot on the heels of the news that CAKE Ent. has sold Fresh TV Inc.'s new animated surf comedy STOKED (26 x 22) to Cartoon Network USA, the kids' entertainment specialists have announced that the show has a double platform with CANAL+ and TPS Jeunesse.

STOKED -- which was developed and produced by Toronto-based Fresh TV Inc. for Canadian cablenet TELETOON -- is a character-driven animated sitcom about six teenagers who come together one summer to work (and surf) at the world renowned Surfer's Paradise Resort. For 12 weeks they will spend their first summer away from home, work the hardest they ever have, and most importantly have the opportunity to surf on their days off. The series was created and written by Tom McGillis and Jennifer Pertsch at Fresh TV, and is aimed at 8-12 year olds.

In addition, CANAL+ and TPS Jeunesse have also acquired Fresh TV Inc.'s animated reality TV spoof TOTAL DRAMA ISLAND -- CAKE's best-selling property of 2008 -- and TOTAL DRAMA ACTION, the follow-up series, as part of a package along with STOKED.
