MUNICH – Studio 100 Media GmbH, the global distribution division of the family entertainment company Studio 100, has sold two of its key animation shows to Poland.
ITI NEOVISION S.A. in Poland has acquired 78 x 12’ episodes of the highly popular CGI series Maya The Bee and 52 x 10’ episodes of the pre-school series Florrie’s Dragons for its kids Pay TV Channel MiniMini+. The agreement encompasses exclusive Pay TV rights for a three-year period commencing Autumn 2014.
Produced by Studio 100 Animation SAS in association with TF1 and ZDF, the Maya The Bee CGI series is a modern rejuvenation of the classic brand, which sees Maya break free of the hive to seek adventure in the big wide world with her friends.
The classic Maya the Bee TV series launched in 1975, based on the first Maya book written by Waldemar Bonsels ‘Maya and Her Adventures’. With recognition level of over 90 percent across Europe the loveable character has been popular all over the world, loved by TV audiences young and old and has achieved cult status for the past 35 years. Maya the Bee in CGI is now broadcast in 160 territories worldwide, with its international presence continuing to grow.
Written by children‘s author An Vrombaut, creator of the award winning series ‘64 Zoo Lane’ and based on the book ‘Dear Dragon’ published by Hodder Children’s Books, Florrie’s Dragons is a vibrant show full of enchantment, friendship, creativity and positive values. Targeted at three to six year olds Florrie’s Dragons is produced by Wish Films UK, Clockwork Zoo Pty and Studio 100 Animation.
