Sandman TV Project Sleeps
Eric Kripke (SUPERNATURAL) has told The Hollywood Reporter that his TV adaptation of Neil Gaiman's seminal comic SANDMAN, is no longer in the works. Kripke said that several factor contributed to why the show didn't come together for the 2011-12 season. He hopes to revive the project at a later date.
The comic follows the god of dreams Morpheus as he is captured by humans mistaking him for his sister Death.
Kriple stepped down as showrunner of SUPERNATURAL last season, but still writes for the series, which he says is heavily influenced by Gaiman's SANDMAN and AMERICAN GODS.
Warner Bros. TV acquired the TV rights to SANDMAN from its sister company DC Ent. last September.
