New York and Los Angeles-based creative studio and production company LOGAN teamed with Saatchi NY to create Lenovo “Getaway.”
As part of its “For Those Who Do” campaign, “Getaway” involves the consumer in a story centered around the versatility of the new Lenovo Yoga 11S. It’s dark and slightly subversive. Stylish without being too sleek. The ad showcases Lenovo’s four modes in a storyline that allows Lenovo consumers to interact directly with the product and the campaign’s hero, Lizzie.
“Getaway” isn’t a sequel in the literal sense, but it uses the heroine from last year’s campaign, “The Pursuit,” and adds to the story. The commercial tells viewers that she’s gone through incredible measures to capture Lenovo’s technology more than once – in fact, this is her eleventh heist. And now that she’s completed her final mission, she wants to give the tech back to the people – Lenovo’s biggest fans. The end result is an entertaining film, and a call to Lenovo fans to join the story and claim one of Lizzie’s eleven Yoga 11S’s for themselves.
Led by executive producer Dan Sormani, LOGAN provided visual effects and editorial for the ad. J. John Corbett served as VFX Supervisor and handled compositing chores, aided by Flame artist Joanne Unger.
