Psyop Helps Launch Interactive Experience for Fanta
New York, NY -- Monday, May 1, marked the official global release of the Play Fanta interactive graphic novel, Saving the Source, including the native iOS and Android versions built by Psyop.
Senior Vice President of the Sparkling Brand Center for The Coca-Cola Company, Wendy Clark, presented the project at the Contagious Now/Next/Why event in New York City. Together with agency Ogilvy & Mather New York, technical partner Vectorform, music production studio Human and storytellers The Alchemists, Psyop helped launch Saving the Source across every type of screen. It is the first time a brand of Fanta’s size and reach has delivered a fully immersive, interactive, digital storytelling platform that touches so many corners of the globe.
The content can be experienced and shared by teens seamlessly anywhere in the world, at any time and on any device. In addition to crafting all the artwork for the graphic novel, Psyop was responsible for creating native iOS and Android app versions.
Saving the Source follows Fanta’s globally recognized and loved cast of characters that Psyop has helped develop for over six years: Todd, Tristan, Andy, Floyd, Lola, Maud, Gigi and the Lhava Twins. Diverse in background, interests and personality but bound together by their love of play, the group of friends set out on a journey to find and fix the “source” in order to save their community from turning into sad, grey characters known as the “Playless.”
