Irving Plonskier joins Sony Pictures Television International (SPTI) as exec director, advertising sales, Latin America to direct SPTI's pan-regional advertising sales business.

His leadership is crucial as we continue to develop innovative ways to continue to provide our represented channels with the best possible service and explore new revenue streams."
Based in Miami, Plonskier will work with SPTI's advertising sales teams in Miami and Los Angeles on proposals, ideas for continued long-term growth, development of special event-programming packages and the establishment of strategic client relationships and new business development. He will also manage communication and relationship between SPTI advertising sales, Latin America, and its represented channels, including the creation of sales building ideas. With more than 20 years of global experience in advertising and media business development and management, Plonskier was president/founder of Psquared Sports and Entertainment/The Irving Partnership Inc., a multimedia and communications representation firm. From 2001 to 2002, he was vp of U.S. Hispanic and Latin American Sales at Terra Networks USA. From 1987 to 2001, Plonskier held several management positions at Young & Rubicam Advertising.
From 1994 to 1997, he was account director/media at Young & Rubicam Europe based in London. He was media director at Young & Rubicam Spain based in Madrid from 1991 to 1994. Plonskier began his career with Young & Rubicam in New York in 1987 where he started as senior media planner (1987) before being promoted to supervisor in 1989. He was previously media planner at Cunningham & Walsh in New York from 1985 to 1987.
