Funding for development of the animated series comes from the Irish Film Board.
Fuzzyworld (39x7′) follows two boys, a girl and a dog as they explore an alien planet in which everything is made out of a strange substance that looks almost exactly like felt.
The preschool project, which is also being supported by the European Union’s Media funding body, is a coproduction between Monster and Irish production company Avalon Films . It will be produced with creative input from creator Alastair Swinnerton’s company Toonspace .
Monster will pitch the project at Cartoon Forum in Toulouse next month, marking the first time the company will present a project at the event. Monster won the prize for best distributor at the Cartoon Forum awards in 2012.
