Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures are in talks with BATMAN BEGINS writer David Goyer to help reboot Superman in MAN OF STEEL, reports VARIETY [1]. WB is eager to get a new Superman film in theaters before it loses the copyright in 2013.
Insiders say that his take on the Man of Steel is action oriented with Superman fighting against a plot between Lex Luthor and Brainiac.
Goyer is a typical comic book go-to man having penned the BLADE series and GHOST RIDER, as well as a draft of X-MEN ORIGINS: MAGNETO. He's also a co-creator on the ABC's sci-fi series FLASHFORWARD.
Goyer is currently working with Christopher Nolan on a script for THE DARK KNIGHT sequel.
