Philadelphia-based Shooters, Post & Transfer has added Janet Falcon as its second colorist, and upgraded equipment to expand its film transfer and color correction capability according to Ray Carballada, coo of Shooters.
Falcon spent the past seven years at Manhattan Transfer Miami in Florida where she worked on international and diverse-culture campaigns for clients such as McDonald's, Marshall's and BellSouth. Falcon began her career in 1987 as an assistant editor at Teleproductions, Inc. in New Orleans, then moved on in 1988 to Limlite/Edefx in Miami as a senior colorist.
The post house's transfer suite has been upgraded from 2K to 2K plus, the most advanced in its line. It also added the da Vinci defocus, which provides extra filters, embosses, grains, and more; a ColoristToolbox, enabling a colorist to use real-time special effect filters; and a Spirit Creativity upgrade, which gives more dynamic range to the Spirit.
