Press Release from Troika
/Hollywood, CA (July 20, 2010)--Troika <http://www.troika.tv>, a multidisciplinary brand strategy and design agency, announces the addition of Executive Producer Connor Swegle. A creative producer with a proven track record of spearheading multiplatform brand and marketing campaigns, Swegle will oversee client relationships, project management and will round out Troika's executive producing team, which also includes Holly Eddy and Senior EP Kristen Olsen.
"Our clients are facing unprecedented business challenges with the proliferation of new media and entertainment platforms," said Dan Pappalardo, executive creative director and partner, Troika. "To help them maneuver through these changes in the marketplace, we've bolstered our leadership team with Connor. He's an immense talent with deep experience in branding and integrated marketing. He's also a widely respected creative leader and facilitator who has championed branding and design through personal projects such as Twenty120 <http://www.twenty120.com/> and within Promax|BDA. We're excited to bring Connor on board the team as he makes his move from New York and establishes a foothold here in Los Angeles."
Swegle will work closely with Creative Directors Whit Friese and Gil Haslam on Troika's key entertainment brands, such as ESPN, Discovery Networks and EA Sports. While Swegle will focus largely on client services and project management, he'll also play a key role in facilitating the agency's knowledge and expertise as a brand consultancy equally adept at strategic services and creative execution.
Swegle joins Troika after seven years in New York City, where he was most recently executive producer at design, VFX and animation studio Click 3X Entertainment. In 2007, he helped launch Clickfire Media, an interactive studio and sister company to Click 3X. While there, he executive produced a number of multiplatform and on-air campaigns, including MTV's VMA and theatrical integrated marketing campaigns and key launches for Food Network, Cartoon Network and Discovery Networks. Swegle also spent over two years as the global head of broadcast for The Ebeling Group (TEG), which had offices in LA, NY and London. While there, he led large-scale multiplatform brand positioning and design projects domestically and abroad for networks including NBC, Five, Discovery, National Geographic and HBO. Swegle has sat on the board of Promax|BDA and in 2007, created and produced the independent, internationally published short film collection Twenty120.
Said Swegle. "Our industry is changing quickly, fluidly and dynamically, so it's important to understand where entertainment brands are going. Troika's one of the few studios that has carved out a new structure for its company, evolved to better address the changing needs of its clients. I very much look forward to working closely with Whit and Gil, two outstanding creative directors with experience in transmedia brand campaigns and sports marketing, respectively, and I'm thrilled to be starting this new chapter of my career at Troika."
