Avatar Sequel Being Pushed by News Corp.

News Corp. CEO Rupert Murdoch told analysts during a quarterly earnings call that he is in "very early talks" with director James Cameron to do an AVATAR sequel, according to THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER [1].

Cameron reportedly "has ideas" for a sequel, Murdoch said, adding: "We will be pushing for one." With that said he hinted that any follow-up to Cameron's latest hit could take many years to come to fruition.
