Paradox Opens Genre Brain Trust
Production house Paradox Ent. has started its own genre division called Grey Matter, according to THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER. The new arm will make $5 million-budgeted features for video and limited theatrical release. Daniel Wagner will serve as vp production and Thommy Wojciechowskicq, former manager of creative affairs at Paradox, will serve as vp development for the new entity.
Grey Matter will first produce the horror film PIGMAN ROAD, penned by Catherine Trillo and Wojciechowski. Video helmer Roman White will make his feature debut. Shooting is set to start in the summer. Two other horror films are in development at Grey Matter as well.
Paradox is in development on big-budget films CONAN THE BARBARIAN at Warner Bros. Pictures, as well as THE MUTANT CHRONICLES at Edward R. Pressman Film Corp.
