Los Angeles, CA -- Motion design and production studio Royale was recently tapped by Nike to create a global, multifaceted campaign for Nike Free 5.0 encompassing video, print, out of home and in interactive retail spaces.
To help promote the new Nike Free 5.0s, Royale created art with the shoe itself in “Kaleidoscope,” choreographing a hypnotic kaleidoscope of their brightly colored training kicks.
No CG here -- the effects were created completely in-camera on the RED EPIC. To achieve this, Royale built special rigs; painstakingly positioning the kicks to create multiple levels of reflections and patterns. Royale needed a highly visual way to show off just exactly how lightweight and flexible the Nike Free 5.0's are, while also featuring them in an array of colors.
