NewKidCo Strengthens Senior Management Team
In its continuing efforts to maximize the strengths of management, and to ensure the greatest operating efficiencies for the company, childrens video game publisher NewKidCo International Inc., has made several changes to its senior management team. Allan Blum has resigned from his position as VP marketing and Barry Fried will be joining the company as vice president and chief financial officer. As a senior financial executive with more than 20 years of public accounting and private industry experience, Fried will play a large role in NewKidCo's strategic plans. His background includes senior financial positions at Liz Claiborne, Roxanne SwimWear and Samara Jewelry. Fried has an M.B.A. and is a Certified Public Accountant with extensive experience in audit, financial reporting, planning and control. Henry A. Kaplan, NewKidCo CEO, in keeping with his extensive experience in the interactive entertainment industry, will head up the marketing function for the company, while continuing to spearhead NewKidCo's drive to be the leading publisher of children's video games. Kaplan is now fully supported by Arthur Levine, newly appointed president and COO, who handles the day to day operations, and Paul Samulski, the company's chief creative officer. The sales department will continue its aggressive growth strategy under the leadership of Monica Bendriss, VP sales.
