New York International Childrens Film Festival was formed to encourage the creation and dissemination of passionate, intelligent, compelling film productions for ages 3-18. NYICFF was founded in 1997 and is the largest festival of film for children and teens in North America. The festival presents high quality programming while pushing the boundaries of style, genre and subject matter to help redefine what is meant by film for kids. The 2004 event saw sold out audiences of 20,000.
NYICFF accepts: shorts, features, animation, documentary, narrative and experimental film and video. Works must be completed no earlier than January 1, 2003.
